Terms of engagement
These terms govern reviews, studies, walkthroughs, and written notes commissioned from Package Vertex Base. By sending a brief or paying a booking deposit you accept them.
1. Parties and acceptance
Package Vertex Base, operating from 12 Miles, Jalan Puchong,Puchong,Selangor,47100,Malaysia, provides professional readings of package delivery and tracking app analytics. The client is the organisation named on the quote. A binding engagement starts when we send a written quote and you confirm it by email or by paying the booking deposit named in that quote.
These pages do not themselves create an engagement. Informal conversation on a hub visit that has not been quoted does not expand the scope.
2. Scope of work
The quote names the reading (for example a Tracking App Performance Review), the hub, the sample window, and whether night sort or travel is included. Work outside that scope — a second hub, a second notice channel, a legal evidence pack — requires a revised quote. We do not build, host, or alter tracking software, and nothing in an engagement is a licence to software.
3. Client responsibilities
You provide a de-identified consignment sample, a supervisor with authority to sit with us, and safe access to the stations we have agreed to watch. You warrant that you have the right to share the extract and that recipient names and phone numbers have been removed. We may pause work if access, safety, or the extract is not provided within ten working days of the booked window.
4. Intellectual property
The findings report, study note, floor note, or peak-readiness note that we deliver is licensed to you for internal use at the named hub and its dispatch desk, including briefing staff. We retain copyright in our templates, methods of sampling, and prior notes. You retain all rights in your extracts, status lists, and floor layouts. Neither party may publish the other’s materials as marketing without written consent. We may describe the type of reading in general terms; we will not name your firm on this site unless you have agreed in writing, as the client stories on /reviews/ have.
5. Confidentiality
We treat consignment extracts, fail codes, and floor observations as confidential for three years after delivery, except where disclosure is required by Malaysian law or by a competent authority. We do not store original waybills. Photographs, if any, exclude recipient addresses and staff faces unless you request a diagram that needs them and you confirm in writing.
6. Fees and taxes
Fees are professional fees in Malaysian ringgit as stated on the quote. A 40% booking deposit holds the dates. The balance is due on delivery of the final note or report. Late invoices may pause a closing workshop. Prices on /pricing/ are starting guidance, not offers.
7. Liability
Our work is professional judgement based on the sample and the stations we were allowed to watch. It is not a warranty that failed attempts will fall, that notices will send on time, or that a peak week will remain calm. We are not liable for lost parcels, rider conduct, vendor outages, or decisions you take after reading the note. Our aggregate liability for an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement, except in cases of fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, which Malaysian law does not allow us to exclude.
We are not a party to your contracts with recipients, riders, or tracking vendors. Nothing in a report is expert evidence for court unless we have quoted a separate evidence pack, which we do not currently offer as a standard reading.
8. Cancellation and postponement
Rules for deposits, postponement, no-shows, and work already started are set out on the refunds page. Those rules form part of these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The courts of Malaysia have exclusive jurisdiction, with Selangor as the preferred venue given our Puchong desk. If a clause is held unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue.
10. Changes
We may update these terms for future engagements. The version that applies is the version linked in your quote. For questions, write to info@packagevertexbase.digital or telephone +60380613243.
